In 2010, I was asked to illustrate a series of comedy articles for the website Something Awful. These stories were based around a character called Golan The Insatiable (a warlord from another dimension who was trapped on Earth) created by the writer Josh Miller.
The stories ran until December 2012 and, the following year, the concept was turned into animated TV series airing on The Fox Network for two seasons.
I had such a blast coming up with the original illustrations
and it was really neat to see the idea translated to TV (even if they had to
make Golan a little less angular so he would work well in animated form!). You
can still read all the old stories here on Something Awful.
Josh Miller has since gone on to write such films as Sonic The Hedgehog movies and Violent Night.
